  • Provide networking platform and business expansion for the benefit of corporate sponsors and individual members.
  • Promote technology innovation in the Semiconductor and related high tech industries; bridge the communication in technology and business development between Pacific Regions of US and Asia within the professional community.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication among professionals and companies in the semiconductor and related industries in forms of Symposiums, workshops, delegation trips and publications. Assist corporate members in talent recruiting and individual members in career development with job fairs.
  • Promote the brand and welfare of the corporate and individual members. Strengthen the professional bond between corporate member and individual members, and increase their public image, professionalism and influence.

Haoxing Ren is the Chairman of CASPA Austin Chapter. He is also a Research Staff Member at IBM T. J Watson Research Center. His research interest includes architecture/high-level synthesis, software/hardware co-design, logic synthesis and physical design for high performance circuits. He has received multiple IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award and Research Division Outstanding Achievement Awards for his works in design automation area. He has co-authored several book chapters, published many technical papers, and holds more than 10 patents. He is an IEEE senior member and has served as the Chair of IEEE Central Texas Solid State Circuit and Circuit and System joint chapter, which received 2011 Best Chapter Award. He received his B.S. and M. Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, M.S. degree in computer engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and PhD in Computer Engineering at University of Texas at Austin.
